Why I created Sentiel

Built from a family's real experience.

Jay EntwistleFounder, Sentiel Senior Home Services

Sentiel grew from my own experience helping my father remain safely and confidently in the home he knows.

I saw how difficult it can be for families to stay informed, coordinate dependable household help, and support an older parent's independence without making them feel they are losing control.

I am building Sentiel to help fill that gap—not as a medical home-care provider, but as a trusted local service offering regular check-ins, practical household support, reliable contractor coordination, and clear communication with families.

Explore the support

Create a realistic planning estimate

Recurring monthly services are separated from the initial visit and when-needed support. Exploring these options does not create a booking or purchase commitment.

At launch, every family would begin with a Home Confidence Visit™Initial consultation, home walkthrough, home and property review, family discussion, Home Watch Summary, and personalized recommendations.

Sentiel Shield™

Choose one support level. Each level includes the services before it, so fees are not stacked. Sentiel does not receive contractor commissions. Clients select and pay contractors directly; Sentiel does not perform repairs, guarantee workmanship, or act as a property manager.

Clear answers before you decide

Questions families often ask.

Understand how visits, updates, safety escalation, property support, and service boundaries work.

01Is Sentiel a medical or personal-care service?

No. Sentiel is strictly non-medical. We provide home oversight, communication, household support, property services, and coordination—not nursing, medication administration, bathing, clinical assessments, or personal support worker services.

02What happens during a scheduled home visit?

A typical planned visit is approximately 60 minutes. A representative would spend time with the client, review approved areas of the home and property, complete agreed household-support tasks, document observations, and prepare an update for the designated family contact.

03How will our family know how the visit went?

Families would receive a clear Home Watch Report™ after each scheduled visit. It would confirm the visit, summarize home and property observations, record completed tasks and recommendations, and could include photos when authorized.

04What if my parent does not answer the door?

The planned protocol is to knock, ring the doorbell, and try to reach the client by phone. If contact cannot be made, Sentiel would notify the designated family contact and follow the escalation preferences established during onboarding. Emergency services may be contacted if an immediate emergency appears likely.

05What happens if a companion call is missed?

Under the planned protocol, Sentiel would make up to three contact attempts within approximately 60 minutes. If contact still could not be established, the designated family contact would be notified. Families would be able to customize these escalation preferences during onboarding.

06What if Sentiel notices a concern or urgent home issue?

We document what was observed, provide authorized photos when appropriate, and notify the family promptly. At the family's request, Sentiel can help coordinate next steps or contractors. All repair and service decisions remain with the family.

07Can Sentiel help with lawn care, snow removal, and contractors?

Yes. Property services and trusted contractor coordination can be included in a plan or arranged as needed. Scope and pricing depend on the home and property. No work is performed without approval, clients pay contractors directly, and Sentiel does not receive contractor commissions.

08How are Sentiel representatives screened and identified?

Before serving clients, representatives will be criminal-background and reference checked, insured, and trained in communication, reporting, privacy, and confidentiality. They will wear Sentiel-branded apparel and carry photo identification. Whenever possible, families will work with the same familiar representative.

For an immediate emergency, call 911. Sentiel is not an emergency-response or healthcare service.
